Funny Story..

(this is Matt writing)....Jamie and I were playing catch with a Tennis ball in the living room. I threw one that might of bounced off the wall and hit Jamie in the back. Jamie pretended like she was hurt...Hayden, being the kind thoughtful boy that he is, ran over to his mom to ask what was wrong. She said that daddy threw the ball at me. Hayden ran over and fell on my head (I was laying on the ground) he got me in a headlock and and said...daddy time out alright. It made Jamie and I laugh. A really neat part of the story for me is....our little boy Hayden never sticks up for himself. If another child takes a toy, he just lets them have the toy or cries. I can remember specific instances where he has stood up for everyone of his family members (Jamie, Jake and myself). He is one of the most caring little boys that you can imagine.

One of the new things our boys absolutely love doing is playing in the pile of big pillows that we have. It is fun watching them become buddies. Doesn't Jake look good in his little muscle shirt?

Matt went in for surgery about two weeks ago. He thought he had just sprained his ankle playing basketball almost a year and 1/2 ago but it just never got better. So he finally went in and had it x-rayed and found that his ankle was actually broken. ( if you want specifics you can ask him) He decided to do surgery and now has a boot + crutches. He seems to be doing great but by the end of the day his foot is really swollen. The pic above is him right after surgery keeping his foot elevated.

Look at this boy go! Jake is on the fast track to walking...Today he let go of the walker and was standing by himself for at least 30 seconds. The boy is barely 9 months! My favorite thing about this picture are the rolls hanging over Jake's ankle
